Job Title: Financial Advisor

Job Summary: Determines a client’s financial goals, priorities, risk profile and lifestyle and details a balanced and realistic plan to meet these goals by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to:

  1. Meets with clients to determine current assets, investments and financial goals.
  2. Obtains qualitative and quantitative aspects of the client financial and relevant non-financial situation.
  3. Gathers and analyzes all information, per broker dealer and MRK Financial Solutions guidelines.
  4. Utilizes asset management tools, designs a financial plan to facilitate the achievement of client’s goals.
  5. Completes all documentation per broker dealer and MRK Financial Solutions guidelines.
  6. Monitors, revises and updates the plan as client needs and situation changes.

Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word; Microsoft Excel and various web–based financial applications.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; or equivalent experience in the financial industry.

Certificates and Licenses:

-Series 6/7 and/or Series 63/65. Applicant must be in good standing with these licenses.

-Life/health/annuities license

-CFP certification preferred (or the equivalent, for example CPA or CFA)
